Kayla couldn't wait to see Santa and let me know by talking about it all evening. Once Santa arrived everyone knew it because they heard Kayla's exuberant exclamations announcing his presence in the building. She was so excited to see him and couldn't wait to tell him that she wants "two movies and two books" for Christmas. In line she kept saying "Its almost my turn!" ..... its just that she didn't realize that 'sitting on Santa's lap' meant that you actually had to sit on Santa's lap. So, in the end, Kayla sat on my lap and I sat next to Santa and she talked to him with her face buried in my neck.
The gingerbread house-making went much more smooth. What fun is making a gingerbread house if you can't eat as you go? Eating the frosting and decorations is much more fun!
Decorating a gingerbread house takes serious concentration

Ymmmm, frosting!

There was definately more eating going on than there was decorating

The finished masterpiece

That is quite an orderly gingerbread house for a little girl - she may have some engineer mind-set in her =)
Best post EVER! Laughed and "awe"-d the whole thing through
Too precious! Since there's no pictures you'll have to relive the experience for me while I'm there.
