Useful

Kayla is not a fan of splashing in the water or getting her face wet. These she avoids at all cost. Washing her hair is sometimes torturous (for us and her) but we're working through that. Yesterday was a turning point, hopefully for the better (if she's not forever traumatized). She went off a water slide attached to the second floor of a double-decker boat with a 6' drop into the water all by herself. She begged to go on it over and over (to our astonishment), we were reluctant over and over, but she promised us that she "would be brave". And she was. Although Aaron caught her at the bottom even before she had a chance to be submerged underwater her eyes got splashed. So she cried and claims that she "was not brave".

Kayla is a huge fan of her gobbles (goggles to the rest of us), a new birthday present. Today she requested her gobbles in the bathtub because she said "they will help". They sure are a useful tool for keeping water and soap out of the eyes.

Who knew "gobbles" would be so good for bath time? Way too cute!
