Build-A-Bear

The highlight of the week by far was a trip with Amy, Grandma A, and Kayla to Somerset to visit the Build-A-Bear store. Grandma had recieved a gift certificate from a friend a few months back to take Kayla and this week worked out that we could all go together. It was very exciting. I talked to Kayla about it in advance, helping her know what to expect, and she said that she would like a purple bear with a purple dress and purple shoes.

It was a special experience for Grandma and Kayla. Kayla was very decisive so it didn't take her long to complete all the steps of building a bear. Lucky for Kayla there was a purple bear, with sparkles to boot. And how she found the Little Mermaid bear costume all the way at the very top of an entire floor-to-ceiling wall of clothes is beyond all of us, but she did. After that, the purple dress and shoe idea were all out the door. But there should never be a doubt in anyone's mind; if there is anything Little Mermaid to be found, Kayla will find it.
