A message for Jesus

Kayla was given the Family Life Resurrection Eggs from Matt and Amy at her first Christmas. It wasn't until this past Easter that it became the right time for us to get it out for her and start talking about the meaning of Easter. But Kayla loves to get the Eggs out anytime of year, which is fun to do to talk about Jesus' love for her, and tonight was no different.

Each of the dozen colorful eggs is filled with meaningful symbols to teach the story of Easter. Of all 12 eggs, the last one is empty. This represents the resurrection of Jesus and his empty tomb! But, this empty egg bothers Kayla. She can't figure out why there's not something that belongs in it.

So tonight Kayla said to me, "When I get older and my phone isn't pretend anymore, I will call Jesus and ask him to put the thing back in this egg".
