Off to the orchard

Its the hottest day of the year with no breeze and we decided to spend it by standing out in the middle of a field with the hot sun beating down on us. Not the best idea. I guess the excitement of having 80 degree weather in October got the best of us. Goodness, was it hot. But, we had fun picking apples, and Kristi got to join us. Turns out there was a "festival" going on today so we participated in many other fun activities, like carnival games, hair painting, and jumping in a bouncy. McCallum's is nice because they have animals, multiple playstructures, hay rides, delicious cider and donuts and a winery (for Mommy's and Daddy's!). All in all, we can't complain about the gorgeous weather we're having right now, I'm just pretty sure it was a first to have the air conditioning blasting in the truck after picking apples! Next time we might wait for 60 degree weather before hitting the orchard.
Hair painting. Kayla requested "rainbow" colors, so they used one of every color throughout her hair.
The butterfly mask - a carnival game prize. Also a useful accesory when picking apples.
The loot!
