18 months

A one word summary of this past month is... Cold. Its been very, very cold here, so much so that we find excuses to stay inside as much as possible. It's not fun to be outside when its 0 degrees, I'll be happy when it finally climbs back up into the 30's; then maybe we can try sledding again. Partially too, the reason we've avoided the outdoors, is that Kayla is still taking medicine recovering from an ear infection... 4 days of fever + 3 trips to the chiropractor + 2 trips to the doctor + 1 antibiotic = no fun.

So while the bitter cold and snow swirls outside, we've been inside working on two things around here. The first is colors and numbers. Kayla can count to three and knows blue, red, yellow, purple and green colors. She's also started putting two words together like "Mama up", "All done" and "The end".

The second is an earlier bedtime routine. Lately she's not been tired and falling asleep until 10:30 - I'm barely awake at that time! And she also throws a fit if anyone but me puts her to bed, and that has to change too.

While our computer was down I wasn't very diligent or organized about taking photos, but here's a random few from the past few weeks.
