Kayla, you are three years old! Three! Where does the time go? Thinking back to the day, hour, minute, second you were born, not only have you grown and changed so much over the last three years, we have grown and learned so much right along side you. As to be expected, you are so different from that tiny little infant swaddled in a blanket we brought home from the hospital, but in many ways you are still that same sweet little girl we knew we were blessed to have. As a baby you slept every night on my chest; and still, when we're cuddling you always ask to sleep on my tummy. (I think you know how special that time was - and still is - to me!) You loved to be held as a baby; still you loved to be held. Throughout this next year there will still be many more amazing changes for you- the biggest one is sending you off to pre-school (oh, the tears I'll shed!) - but we know that you will always and forever be our sweet little girl.

The Little Mermiad party was a success! You had a great time! Celebrating your 3rd birthday was definately one of your most fun birthday parties because you were very into it. You had very specific requests (blue frosting Mermaid cake), you had a gift wish list 19 miles long (anything and everything under the sun), you talked about your birthday party for weeks, and on the eve of your birthday you must've asked 10 times if you could start eating your cake.
Like I mentioned, your so-called "birthday" lasted over a week. Of course the Day 1 kick-off was taking your friends to see Toy Story 3; another day we went to go see Woody at the Library; then later in the week we made Little Mermaid cupcakes (I made the cupcakes, you ate the frosting); then all relatives from near and far descended on our home in preparation of your party; there was boating, Caitlyn's graduation party... Oh, I'll just let the pictures tell the story.
Happy Birthday Kayla!
