The stars were aligned

We weren't sure how this was going to work, or even if it was going to at all. Kayla has always taken a nap in her bed, or someone's bed (or occassionally on a boat). She has never ever ever been the child that falls asleep under (or at) the kitchen table or on the floor during a party (how does that happen?) or in a grocery cart (mercy) and she long ago gave up sleeping in her carseat. But stick her in a bed at naptime and she is out. So to think that she might actually take a nap on the couch (unheard of) and with Daddy (now that's just absurd) we kept our fingers crossed, Aaron probably more so than me just for the opportunity to have extra long quiet time (rare these days!) and cuddle time with his little girl.

Whatever it was, it worked. The picture is blurry as I was not using flash in the dark basement, but its too precious to not share photo opportunity. I'm sure we could dig up a similar photo from when she was only a few weeks old, but that was eons ago and not even close to the same thing!Ahhh, life's precious moments. Just makes you want to hold on forever.
