We knew this night was going to be so much fun that we invited Addison to join in the fun with us, so the three of us girls made our way to the pet store together. Last week Kayla started out by wanting a blue fish in pink water, but that changed earlier today to wanting a green fish and then later a pink fish; we settled on a beautiful blue fish. By the end of our shopping excursion there were many fish bowl decorations and accessories in our basket, but ultimately the girls decided on a pink castle, a pink plant and multi-colored rocks. Ally has quite a lovely home!
So, our new male beta fish has been given a girl's name. Kayla said "I want to name her Ally, as in Claudia and Ally". Those are our Australian friend's, Pete and Sandee, daughters whom Kayla played with recently while they visited at Christmas. Kayla still talks about them playing at her house and apparently, they made a big impact on her. So, 9-year-old Ally from Australia is being honored here in MI by having our pet fish named after her - the biggest honor a 3 year old can bestow.
We miss you Daddy! Wish you were here!
Getting Ally's new home ready.

Introducing Ally to her carefully constructed home.
Yeah, not excited at all. Not hyper. Not crazy. Nope, not at all.
Hello Ally. Hope you are happy in your new home!
