Kayla and Cassidy were inseperable. Kayla took the "good big cousin" role very seriously. She was very attentive and playful with Cassidy, showing her the way, helping her along, holding her hand; it was as if she got to play "house" with her very own live doll. And if Cassidy ever got into something she shouldn't we'd hear Kayla patiently say "No, no honey". Luckily, Cassidy ate up everything Kayla dished to her and the two played very well together. Watching them play caused me to have a vision of them in the future, of them playing "school" or "house" together and Kayla being the teacher and Cassidy the student, or Kayla being the mom and Cassidy being the baby, all dictated by Kayla and until Cassidy had enough, of course. Either way, they're great playmates and Kayla already told me she's looking forward to her next visit up north.

This is how they walked through the hospital every single visit: holding hands. It doesn't get any cuter than this.

Sitting at the table eating breakfast together every morning.

Playing a game that Cassidy made up and taught to Kayla - of course since it came from the Amusement Park Enthusiast herself, it involved climbing, free-falling and bouncing. There one second... gone the next.

Playing
inside the toy chest/coffee table. It just so happens that the toys were in their way of playing. Once removed, it made ample room for two little girls to crawl inside and play.
